I must say I am chuckling my way through Euthyphro tonight! I can
just see these guys in their togas, bantering back and forth, walking
on the porch with the columns. Socrates opens his mouth and Euthyphro is hooking in on him. These are fun and engaging, especially after "loopy Exodus"! I laugh out loud at Socrates in Symposium when he says "Bah! Zeus!" I just might be a Greek geek...

Missing

I cannot believe how much I miss class the past two weeks during break! Tonight I start the class called Socrates and the Greek Mind with CB. Saturday I start The New Cosmology with M. Turner. Can't wait!

Again, I love it when things align, as they appear to be in my pre-work on Socrates...

Last Class for M&M

Yesterday was my last class in Meaning & Motive of Social Life. The text was Young Man Luther by Erik Erikson. I like Erikson the best of all the authors this quarter. Maybe that is because I like the story I read about his wife, Joan. A Walk on the Beach is one of my all time favorite books. Lots of golden nuggets of wisdom in there from someone who lived a large life. Again, I am feeling a bit bittersweet at the ending of this. I remember that all endings create a new beginning. Next up: The New Cosmology. Starts in two weeks. I guess one needs physical science too!
